It Starts With an Idea
Hey everyone! I figured I had done all of this work for my guest room redesign, I might as well share my process with you all. If you were wondering how the steps on my Room Refresh eDesign Consultation works, here is an example of my guest room I just completed. The steps are listed below. I am still smiling away when I walk past the room because it is so pretty!
I start by putting all the furnishings, accessories, wallpaper, window treatments, artwork and rugs for the room together on a concept board to make sure all of the patterns are working together well:
I started with the items I already own, (bed, dresser, nightstands) and want to use in the room and then I try and find items online that are similar to put together on a concept board. Then I shop online for the missing pieces- I am really good at finding great home accessories! The items that I suggest to ‘complete’ the room , I add to the concept board and also put into a ‘shopping list’ for client to purchase when they are ready to buy:
I provide you furniture placement ideas as well as advice of styling the room, for example bookshelves, dresser tops, mantels, etc.
My favorite part of any redesign project is in the details. Something special in every room. In this room, I like so many pieces but I think the wallpaper is my favorite. Or maybe the dresser! Or maybe the nightstands!
