Another Example Of Why Darker Paint Colors Look Fabulous with Stained Wood
I have been not only getting ready for Christmas this past week, I have also been moving to my new, full time home in New Hampshire: Today:It has been a crazy couple of weeks, but I am really enjoying myself. I think part of this joy might be that both my kids and the new baby Jameson is coming to spend Christmas here! I can’t wait!Anyway! When we moved one of the bedrooms upstairs around, I wanted to use this wood headboard we brought from our previous home in RI that both my husband and I love. When we put against the wall, I really was struck how beautiful the wood looked with the wall color:This paint color is Ben Moore Gentleman’s Gray 2062-20. A beautiful mid- tone turquoise blue.I really love the mid to dark wall paint colors with stained trim and wood. They just work so well together as you can see:I have mentioned this preference for mid to dark colors for walls with stained trim here, here, and here. I love the richness of the darker colors with the stained wood rather than a high contrast look with white walls and stained wood.What do say you readers?
