Benjamin Moore Historical Collection
Searching for a new interior and/or exterior paint color? I have now been in design for almost 25 years now and I still notice that 95% of the time, color experts and designers go straight to the Benjamin Moore's Historical Colors. Why? Because they have proven over time to be colors that are a collection of time-honored hues comprising their most popular palette. Meaning- tried & true popular colors!
Many designers go right to the historical collection also because although we have played with and experimented many different colors, the collection has proven over and over to be winning colors voted for and used by many because they provide good backgrounds and serve to unify diverse color palettes.
Did you know that in 1976, to celebrate America’s 200th birthday, Benjamin Moore and the National Park Service put out the Historic Colors Collection, which drew inspiration from NPS archives of historic homes? Pretty cool. There are 191 colors in the Historical Collection, a celebration of 200+ years of American style.
People ask me if Revere Pewter is an old and outdated color . I say yes, it is a color that has been popular for awhile, but look how beautiful it still is! Not outdated at all. I love the look of Revere best in a room with lots of sunshine.
So, if you are having trouble finding the best paint color that works with your existing furnishings, take a look at the Ben Moore Historical Collection. Or email me and we can work together to find the best solutions.
