Snow Scenes in Containers

November 30, 2016

Every Holiday Season, I seem to get a little crafty and make something new. Last year was my boxwood trees here:

One year I decorated a small tree for the condo I was living in at the time here:

Last year I enjoyed decorating the tree with ribbons here:

This year, since I LOVE little miniature items so much, I decided to make mini winter scenes:

I started with a few store bought supplies I purchased from Carbone’s and the Christmas Loft:

I wanted to use this container which I try to decorate each Season:

Very easy. First a layer of faux snow and then decorate with miniature pieces:

Can you hear me jumping up and down with glee? I LOVE my little red truck!

So simple! What else can I make?:

I think you will enjoy making them- so much fun! Apothecary jars would also be perfect for this project. Do you have any special crafts you are working on this Holiday Season?

  1. These are so cute! You have me searching my house for little “holders” that I can use to build my own! Thanks so much for sharing — love them!

  2. My Christmas Cactus plants are decorating themselves as we speak. I love your idea of miniature decorations, as they are great ideas for a small space (which I aspire to — am downsizing!)

  3. Beautiful! I’d just hit Target with the same idea in mind!! I loved looking thru the items meant to be ornaments that instead I’ll put in my miniature holiday scenes.
