Looking For a Soft Yellow
Hi Kelly,I hope you can help me! I have made so many trips to the paint store this week and every light yellow I bring home, it shows up bright and scary when I sample on the poster board! Would you have any suggestions for a quiet, mellow yellow? Thank you!I decided to help her because she said that she sampled the paint colors with a poster board. Smart girl! Especially when it comes to yellow. Yellow is a very difficult color to get just right.
After speaking with her, I knew what she was looking for. She wanted a very light yellow for her living room. A barely-there yellow.
My advise for a barely-there yellow would be a white paint color with yellow undertones. Such as Linen White:

There are other beautiful yellows but none so soft. There are also other whites with yellow undertones, but I think Linen White is just perfect. Give it a try Amy and let me know what you think!
