Enchanted Garden Plant Sale
[pinterest]Every year, the weekend after Mother’s Day in May, my sister-in-law and her friend has a huge plant sale in Attleboro, MA. I love going not only for the great deals on plants, but also because I love going to the home where the sale is located:That is her front door, now look at how beautiful her side door is also:A purple painted door! She loves it and said that it makes her smile every time she walks through:I know I would too! And here is a small portion of her gorgeous, magical garden in the backyard:The amount and assortment of perennial plants for sale is just amazing:The plant sale is so well organized. Did you notice the sign in the above picture ‘Part Shade’? Each of the tables are set up with plants according to their requirement of sun, shade or part shade:I love the way every plant has a picture of what the plant will look like when in bloom:Did you notice the prices marked on the sticks? The average price for the perennials and trees is between $4.00 and $5.00. The annual and vegetable plants are only $1-2 dollar each!:Great deals!!Here are a few of the shopping carts:But I always try to get a wagon!:A very special “Thank You!” to Elaine & Sally for letting me come early to take pictures and share:On the right is my sister-in-law Elaine, and the owner of this home and yard, Creative Sally, is on the left. Look at her vegetable garden!:All so pretty! And I saved the best idea to share for last:I thought this idea was genius! See the small flower pots holding the sticks?:It does not matter if there are holes in the bottom or not:The pots were filled with ordinary sand:And then used to hold all of the signs and pictures:The secret? Why is the sand holding the sticks up and not flowing out of the bottom?Because the sand is wet! What an easy, why-didn’t-I-think-of-that idea! Imagine all the ways you can use outdoors. As place setting cards at the table:
For outdoor weddings, kid’s parties or just a barbecue they would be so easy and creative. And the larger the pot, the larger the sign you can use:
I think this is such a fun and creative idea! I bet you can think of many other additional ways to use.I hope you enjoyed my visit to the plant sale and all of the beautiful scenery!
