Best Petunia Gardening Tip Ever
Off to the garden we go! I still have indoor projects but now with the warm weather here, I rather be outdoors. One of the best tips I have ever learned about gardening was from a garden center when deadheading petunias:The key Is not to pinch off at bottom of flower, (like I have always done before I learned this trick!):Instead, pinch or cut off at the end of the stem that is holding the spent flower:This will help prevent seed pods forming instead of new flower growth:I first shared this tip with you here in 2015. Since I started deadheading my petunias this way, my flowers are definitely fuller and I see none of those ugly seed pods anymore:Best petunia tip ever, right? You are welcome. Be sure to remove faded/dead flowers to prolong blooming throughout the season.Have a great week everyone!
