A lovely reader wrote to me recently with a great question. She asked “Can an armoire be made into a bar?'”
Yes, you can Cindy. And when I looked into it further, I even found that there is an actual name for bar-armoire: 'barmoire’. A Barmoire™ is an armoire that has been reclaimed, renewed, restored, reconditioned and re-purposed for use as a home bar cabinet.
I think it is a great idea! Armoires are so large, that sometimes we have to place them in the living room because it will not fit anywhere else. They are great for storage, but what a great suggestion to use as a bar.
Barmoires can be created into various individual styles and tastes. All unique and beautiful.
Fabulous! I really love this idea. Not complicated to make and it will make that special armoire piece even more special.
