Are you searching for the perfect front door color? This is the busiest time of year for me helping clients choose exterior colors and especially a fabulous front door color:
When deciding exterior color combinations, I like to think to think of your exterior as a business suit; the walls are a neutral color which makes up 60% of the combination, (the pants and jacket), the trim and windows make up 30% of the color palette, (the shirt) and the door is 10% of the color palette combination , ( tie/door is the 10% pop of color) which I wrote about here:
Did you know Ben Moore introduced the Benjamin Moore’s Aura® Grand Entrance® line, specially formulated for front doors in 2015? I did not. I just came across on Pinterest recently:
The Grand Entrance® line is available in thousands of colors and in two finishes: Satin and High Gloss. Aura® Grand Entrance® is environmentally friendly with low VOC and very low odor. “You can use any of the thousands of Benjamin Moore paint colors, as well as a curated palette of 42 colors, the most popular for a home’s front door, regardless of the architectural style,” according to a Benjamin Moore media release. Some of the colors available include Edinburgh Castle, Ascot Gray, Scottish Shortbread, Dutch Tulip and English Scone:
They are available in just a quart size for approximately $40.00 which is enough for your front door project. A few features of Aura® Grand Entrance® is listed on the Ben Moore website:
- Rich, lustrous finish
- Excellent color retention and fade resistance
- Easy, smooth application
- For interior & exterior use
- Lifetime Limited Warranty
Here is a few photos I took, (thanks Marion!) of the Benjamin Moore’s Aura® Grand Entrance® brochure that you can pick up at your local Ben Moore store:
Do you see the new colors exclusive to Aura® Grand Entrance®? They are the names listed without a color number. I suppose you just ask for them by name. 🙂
Your front entry is the first thing guests see when they come to visit. Make it grand! Has anyone tried Aura® Grand Entrance® from Benjamin Moore? Love to hear reviews. Thanks!
Have a great weekend everyone!
