February 7, 2016

Right now I am in the middle of changing up my master bedroom:

I knew the time was coming because my husband, Mike, has not stopped complaining about the white bedding since I first put it on the bed:

He has never liked it. One day I was able to drag him into Home Goods where he found a comforter he liked, (and of course the blue and white also got my approval!) You know what that means- new comforter- new accessories! I have always wanted a rug in my bedroom:

Review of Gray Undertones

February 3, 2016

Undertones. We have learned enough about color to know we can not ignore them. But I have found that knowing the undertones of a color makes the color selection process much easier and less stressful.

So I thought I would do a little review as a reminder of the undertones of gray. Gray is still very popular right now and we should be aware of what makes up the color so we can be educated when choosing a color for our home.  Gray has the undertones of blue, green, violet and taupe:

Color Selection Made Easy

January 31, 2016

Today we are flooded with so much information on how to choose the perfect paint color for our homes. Blogs, magazines, Pinterest, Houzz, Facebook, HGTV and many other sources. We read all the different info and then find ourselves questioning if the color we chose is still in style, if the undertones are working,  do the colors flow correctly, etc. If you are like me, too much information on any subject just makes me more confused and stressed!

*Remember that the goal of the wall color is to find a color that works with everything you own and love. It works as the background scene. The walls are not supposed to be the ‘star’ of the room.

Blue & Beige Bedroom Consultation

January 28, 2016

I have been working online with a woman from Chicago on her bedroom redesign. She found me on Pinterest on my design boards here.  Her design plan is coming out so nice I just wanted to share. Her bedroom was already painted in Revere Pewter and she just needed a little help finding bedding, window treatments and a few accessories that would work well together with the Revere.
