Pantone’s 2018 Purple
I am sure you have already heard this week on social media that Pantone has announced it’s color of the year for 2018:
Ultra Violet 18-3838. Pantone chose this complex color to reflect a "complex" time. According to Pantone, Ultra Violet is a "provocative yet thoughtful" color. Historically, it's been associated with nonconformity and spirituality. Pantone also believes this color symbolizes new possibilities and a hopeful future.I am sure you have also read mixed reviews. People either are liking this color or giving it a definite thumbs down.
But I guess that happens every year, right? I myself love a gorgeous purple! I always have. I would not paint a whole room in it:
