Elegant Gilding Wax Giveaway

December 14, 2012

Isn’t this mirror gorgeous?! I just love it. My friend Nancy from Sea Rose Cottage, ASCP extraordinaire, recently posted how she made it here. I would love to make one and hang in the guest room. Wouldn’t that look beautiful and unique?:

Nancy used Empire Gold Gilding Wax to stencil the poem onto the mirror! For the lettering, she used Royal Design Studio’s  Springtime in Paris Stencil which Nancy now also carries in her store.

Nancy wants to celebrate the Holiday Season with a Giveaway!! She wants to give you a chance at a great gift idea for yourself or someone that loves to be creative and paint various projects! She is giving  an entire set of 4 waxes…1 of each color (Empire Gold, Kings Gold, Renaissance Gold & Silver). She is also going to add a stencil of Small Moroccan Arches which is just one of her selection of Royal Design Studio stencils in the shop. Total Giveaway Value is over $100!!

I would love to have this set! (I know, I know I can’t enter.) Thank you Nancy! Look how pretty this old picture frame came out after Nancy used the Empire Gold Gilding Wax on the details of the frame:

You can read how she painted this frame here. You can use French Gilding Wax to add sparkle to your projects by outlining the architectural details of furniture and other objects. It can be used on many surfaces including wood, plaster, glass and metal!:

Have a wonderful weekend!

  1. What a fantastic giveaway. I love Nancy and all her projects. I am a facebook fan and a follower of Nancy’s blog. I would def. use the gilding wax and stencils on furniture if I won. Nancy and Kelly, thank you for this amazing giveaway.

  2. I would use the gilding wax on an old gold frame which holds a mirror and I just loved the Moroccan stencil! Everyone knows I am crazy about Moroccan style and I even preserve lemons and cook Moroccan style! My daughter says I should have been born there! Also this summer I went crazy with Annie Sloan’s chalk paint and just adore what it did for bedroom furniture in two rooms and a desk in the study. I plan to paint more soon but would also love to experiment with your beautiful waxes. So happy to have found you and thanks goes to Kelly.
    Merry Christmas!

  3. The question should be what project WOULDN”T I like to use the gilding wax on??? I *heart* gilt, so where to start? There’s a painted candelier I’d like to give a go with the wax, and a side table in my living room. Heading over to “like” Sea Rose Cottage!

  4. Love the looks created with this Gilding Wax! I have a round, intricately carved silverish mirror that would be enhanced with this lovely product. I know I would find more projects around the house!
    Thanks for the info.

  5. This is an incredible giveaway. I would like to refinish an old tea cart that I recently salvaged. The gilding wax would give it such elan and definition.

  6. I’ve seen so many great projects using gilding wax. I would love to try it on an old carved jewelry box that I got as a kid.

  7. I have an old “nightstand” that my daddy built about 50 years ago. Right now it’s just stained brown but the shape of it is so cute and it has lots of memories attached to it. I would love to refinish it and use the gold gilding on it to bring it back to life. Thank you so much for offering this contest!

  8. I been planning to buy a huge open old frame and attach chicken wire to it to use for displaying pictures and cards with tiny clothespins. The guilding wax would give it so much personality.
    Happy Holidays!!!
