Surprised? I was. When announced last year, I looked at it and thought it was pretty, but not a color I love. I think it is funny it took a year for me to really notice it. Metropolitan is a silvery gray that adapts to its surroundings:

With an LRV of 51.19 it is an almost perfect medium color. Not too dark or too light. A very restful and soothing color, don’t you agree?:

Look at how well the Metropolitan works with browns and pinky beige:Looks great with the wood desk also. I would definitely give this color a try in a room with stained trim and also a try in the kitchen with oak cabinets. (And absolutely in a kitchen with white cabinets.)
