[pinterest]Looking for the perfect new paint color? Based on my color consulting lately, it seems the color blue is the number one color choice for home color palettes:

You know how I love blue! It is the perfect color in bringing other colors together as well as being a great neutral on it’s own:

I often use blue to bring together the old with the new:

  1. Boothbay Gray and Beacon gray are gorgeous! Also like Van Courtland Blue. And I think Hale Navy would be great with lots of white 🙂 Starting to see blues on my own personal horizon too!

  2. I painted my daughter’s room Breath of Fresh Air, and adore that color. Next, we painted our garage “Silver Mist,” once again, it’s beautiful. I love very light blue-grey’s that seem to have their own light source: so fresh and clean. I’m painting our south facing living room and entrance now. Silver Mist was a contender but it’s just too blue. I wish it was slightly greyer. Any suggestions?

      • So….I tried Silver Lake and Winter Solstice. Both look a mid-tone very green gray – almost dirty, on my wall. Yuck. I just can’t find a fresh gray with a blue undertone for my walls that’s not baby room blue. I’ve tried Silver Mist (too baby blue) and Gray Owl (looks almost white with a blue/green undertone). I’m confused. Is it the bright southern light? No idea. Help please. Any other ther suggestions?
