A Chandelier In Every Room

February 17, 2016

A reader recently ask if I think chandeliers are still popular and do I think a chandelier would look nice in a nursery:

Yes, yes I do! I just love a gorgeous crystal chandelier and what it adds to a room!:

Gorgeous! We often see chandeliers in bedrooms, living rooms and of course dining rooms:

Today, people are creatively using sparkly and shimmery lights in their laundry rooms, entries, closets, dressing rooms and kitchens:

I LOVE that dressing room!

Even bathrooms!:

Chandeliers are not strictly for traditional rooms but also work beautifully in the most modern rooms too. I love seeing them in so many unexpected places!

What are your thoughts on using chandeliers in every room? Love them or not?

  1. These are gorgeous, Kelly! I am presently in the planning stages of re-doing a guest room into a nursery and have been thinking about adding a chandelier. But we don’t know the gender- do you think a crystal chandelier will be too girly if its a boy?

  2. Beautiful, but wouldn’t we need maids to KEEP them sparkley? (I always worry about the maintenance).
Would you consider a future post on how to choose the right size chandelier or other fixture?

  3. Love the chandeliers! I think it adds a touch of elegance to any room. And there’s such a variety out there now. We will be doing our master bath soon and I plan on having one over my claw-footed tub. Great pictures.

  4. Love them! I had one in our former home’s laundry room. Everyone who saw it said “WOW! That’s so cool!” In our current home we have a vintage crystal one in a guest room that has soft shabby chic look. We custom made a chandy for over our dining table. Yup….I vote two thumbs up for chandeliers 🙂

Lovely photos you’ve shared, as always, Kelly. Thanks so much!
