How To Warm Up an All White Kitchen

A reader recently wrote and asked,  “I have always wanted an all white kitchen and now that I have my dream white kitchen, it seems boring and uninteresting. Do you have any suggestions on how I can warm up my cold, sterile looking kitchen? ”all white too

I have come across this dilemma with clients before. We see all of these beautiful photos of all white kitchens and want to duplicate the look so everything brought into the room is white. I too love the look of white kitchens, but sometimes they can feel too plain and lack personality.all white kitchen

My first suggestion is to bring fabric into the room. Using fabric can soften a space as well as bringing in color with items such as window treatments:fabric in kitchen

And fabric dog beds too! :)Chair coverings is another way to add fabric:fabric chairs

Who says you can not bring colorful artwork into an all white kitchen?:artwork kitchen

Any natural wood finish immediately warms up the room:kitchen wood idea

A bit overboard in the above room, but you get the idea. Baskets, trays, area rugs, textured window treatments and woven bowls and containers are just a few ways to bring texture and interest in the room. Branches are texture too!kitchen branchesviabranches kitchen
