How To Warm Up an All White Kitchen
A reader recently wrote and asked, “I have always wanted an all white kitchen and now that I have my dream white kitchen, it seems boring and uninteresting. Do you have any suggestions on how I can warm up my cold, sterile looking kitchen? ”
I have come across this dilemma with clients before. We see all of these beautiful photos of all white kitchens and want to duplicate the look so everything brought into the room is white. I too love the look of white kitchens, but sometimes they can feel too plain and lack personality.
My first suggestion is to bring fabric into the room. Using fabric can soften a space as well as bringing in color with items such as window treatments:

A bit overboard in the above room, but you get the idea. Baskets, trays, area rugs, textured window treatments and woven bowls and containers are just a few ways to bring texture and interest in the room. Branches are texture too!
